Amane Fujimiya lends his only umbrella to a girl who sat alone in the rain, catches a cold, and only wishes to retrieve it. However, Mahiru Shinome, the school's angel and his neighbor, helps him out much more than that. Instead of just returning the umbrella, Mahiru insists on repaying the kindness he received by helping Amane recover from his cold. But Mahiru is unaware of the war that exists in Amane's apartment. The only word Mahiru can use to describe the chaos is "gloomy and unpleasant." Yet, despite the unempathetic description, Mahiru starts helping the desperate Amane. The story of "The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten" follows Amane as Mahiru helps him out with various household chores - from cleaning the house to cooking dinner. Is there anything this angel can't do?
